The Rite of Christian Funerals

Christians celebrate the funeral rites to offer worship, praise, and thanksgiving to God for the gift of a life which has been returned God, the author of life and the hope of the just. This is certainly a difficult time and so we at Saint Columbkille seek to aid in any way we can from planning for the funeral to helping with the mourning processes.

During the planning process the funeral home will coordinate with the parish staff. A planning booklet will be provided, or one can be downloaded below. Once the planning forms are received, a priest will be in contact with you. Please know, throughout this process the Parish of Saint Columbkille will keep you in prayer.

Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord.

           R/. And let perpetual light shine upon them.

May they rest in peace.

May their soul and the souls of all of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace.
