It is a privilege and the purpose of Saint Columbkille Parish School of Religion (PSR) to assist parents and guardians in the ongoing effort of preparing children for roles as Catholics in today’s society. Parents or guardians are children’s first and most important teachers. It is their duty and responsibility to nurture their children in the Catholic faith. The dedicated PSR staff at Saint Columbkille supports parents and guardians in this vital work.
PSR For Grades 1-6
For the 2020-2021 school year, St. Columbkille PSR for Grades 1-6 is adapting a family-based, home-learning model of catechesis. Every week using the Pflaum Gospel Weeklies, lessons are done in the home and a short, on-line assessment is completed. There are also monthly check-ins via drive through Pick-Up Events, phone calls or virtual meetings. It is a family-based program so the whole family can get involved!
PSR for Grades 7 & 8
St. Columbkille PSR for Grades 7 & 8 is held on select Sunday mornings from 10:15 a.m. to 11:45 a.m.
For the 2020-2021 school year, each session will be held either in-person or remotely, depending on the current state of coronavirus spread in the community.
Sessions for Grades 7 & 8 will begin in October and continue through May. Sessions, whether in-person or remote, will be held at the times and dates listed at the calendar link below.
